I got renter's insurance yesterday. I never had it before. I have been hounded, mostly by patriarchal figures, to get it since I have been renting places to live. I always justified the lack of it by saying "it's too expensive" or "who really needs it, anyway?" Well, I came to the conclusion yesterday that when it comes to insurance, I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. It costs less than two tacos and a Dr Pepper from Chipotle. I feel like such an adult. Think I'll go have a temper tantrum about something, to counteract that.
