I Wanna Ride This Party Off In the Sunset

Run away! Run away!

must type faster! Oscars approaching rapidly! Here are my picks, because I know how much you care. Some of these, I am just pickiung blind. I've not see any of the nominees for, say, Best Documnetary - Short Subject. We'll regroup tomorrow and compare averages :)

Actor Leading: Jamie Foxx for Ray. In a perfect world, Leo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx would split the vote and give to Don Cheadle, whose performance was AMAZING!
Actor Supporting: Morgan Freeman for Million Dollar Baby
Actress Leading: Kate Winslet for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I *heart* you, Clementine!
Actress Supporting: Natalie Portman for Closer. Important Oscar rule: playing drunk, retarded or hooker/stripper = winning.
Animated Feature: The Incredibles
Art Direction: Phantom of the Opera
Cinematography: Aviator
Costume Design: Aviator
Director: Martin Scorcese. People! Eminem has more Oscars than the man who gave us Raging Bull and Goodfellas!
Documentaty Feature: Super-Size Me. I also *heart* Morgan Spurlock
Documentary Short: The Children of Leningradsky
Film Editing: Aviator
Foreign Language Film: As It is In Heaven
Makeup: The Passion of the Christ. I believe that they'll give Crazy!Mel Gibson a token Oscar for the Jesus Christ Chainsaw Massacre. This seems like a good one.
Original Score: Finding Neverland
Original Song: Learn to Be Lonely from the Phantom of the Opera
Best Picture: Aviator. Here's the thing. Aviator is about Hollywood and Hollywood loves nothing more than to congratulate itself for its continued existence.
Short Film - animated: Lorenzo
Short Film - live action: Little Terrorist
Sound Editing: The Incredibles
Sound Mixing: The Incredibles. wtf? how is this a different category than above??
Visual Effects: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Screenplay -adapted: Sideways
Screenplay - original: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

and I'm spent. Happy Oscar Sunday to you all! See you tomorrow :)

I have to disagree with your documentary pick. Check out "Born into Brothels" sometime, and look at what she did for those children.
Was a shoe-in for Best Doc.

Morgan getting tubby from scarfing down Big Macs kinda pales in comparison. =]
